This opening is in our Building and Construction System business located in Norcross, GA.
We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry.
Kawneer and Architectural Products are part of Arconic's global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America and Europe.
Position OverviewThe Strategic Pricing manager role will apply distinctive problem-solving skills to identify, develop and help implement performance and growth-related initiatives to improve profitability across the broad portfolio of Kawneer and Arconic Architectural Products (AAP).
The role's initial focus will be to implement pricing solutions across North America.
This will include assisting in the development and rollout of new pricing tools and analytics, establishing and overseeing an improved pricing process and infrastructure, and advising operating companies in the development of their specific pricing strategies.
The position is an ideal fit for an individual with the courage and work ethic to tackle high impact, complex business issues, provide distinctive insights to guide decisions and achieve results, and support their actual implementation.
Successful candidates will be able to think strategically, distill and prioritize opportunities, and then articulate clear recommendations to senior managers and executives to drive impactful change.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the evolution of a process that ensures a consistent, optimized approach to pricing.
Implement and maintain the Pricing Tool to quickly respond to changing market needs or trends.
Analyze Pricing Data and use it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends.
Develop Forecasts and Models to help show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volume.
Determine Pricing and Marketing Strategies by partnering closely with sales organizations to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies.
Drive results in sales organization through influence and collaboration.
Monitor Industry Trends in order to recommend pricing strategies that align closely with these trends.
The strategic pricing manager also develops strategies that take advantage of untapped market segments and help gain market share in new avenues.
Present Findings and recommendations to Key Decision-Makers, executives, and sales leaders through weekly or monthly meetings.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Finance requiredMBA degree preferred; equivalent work experience consideredFive (5)
years of experience in any combination of strategic pricing, sales, manufacturing, finance, consulting or business development.
Experiences that have built genuine business acumen across multiple functionsExperience with prevalent B2B pricing systems to include implementation and application of toolsThe candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills with particular strengths in the areas of data analytics, pricing and commercial diagnostics, financial modeling, and sales & operationsComfort operating in complex environments and managing multiple workstreams simultaneouslyDistinctive analytical and communication skills (both oral and written).
Ability to problem solve creatively and think strategically Travel approximately 20% Preferred Qualifications Pricing experience in building and construction industry.
Experience with Oracle and JDE ERP.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
