Job Overview
The Security Engineer - Perimeter Security Engineering Technology Lead position requires the ability to actively contribute to the architecture and primarily drive design and implementation of security technologies/processes for market leading financial services solutions in a global multi data center environment.
Primary responsibilities include direct contribution of architecting while being the technical lead for developing and maintaining the security posture of our consumer facing products through technology and process in order to adequately protect Fiserv assets and customer data. Additional responsibilities include ongoing engineering management for the current security infrastructure as well as supporting the implementation of security technology with Fiserv products to protect information systems' assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction. The ideal candidate will have experience and direct knowledge of managing security infrastructure in large complex global multi-data center environments where financial services are present.
Primary Duties
Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through the Fiserv enterprise networks
Architect, Design, and implement enterprise grade network security infrastructure solutions to protect and support direct consumer facing solutions
Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and set an example for achieving tactical and strategic goals
Define and document a 3 year security technology vision/roadmap for the Fiserv consumer facing solutions network
Participate in leading and defining best of class security practices for enterprise networks providing high-volume financial services transactions
Develop and maintain architectural documents, engineering guidelines and procedures in support of Fiserv's security policies, standards and guidelines.
Determine appropriate levels of security configuration, controls and monitoring to be applied to Fiserv product solutions by working with members of all Fiserv internal business units and internal technology staff to support the enterprise approach to security.
Enhancement of centralized infrastructure firewall management and compliance reporting
Participate in regular Sunday morning maintenance windows and after hour support calls.
Provide periodic T3 support for firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies, and other network related security technologies

Qualifications:
Education and Certifications
o Bachelor's degree in computer science/related field or equivalent work experience
Job Related
Experience:
o 3-5 years of hands on and progressive information security architecture design and implementation experience in a security engineering role
o At least 5 years of experience working in a progressive information security operations or engineering group.
o 5-8
years relevant technical experience preferred.
o 3-5 years of experience in network security related technologies
o 4
years direct experience with enterprise grade firewalls
o Exceptional planning, organization, communication, presentation, multi-tasking, prioritization and business analysis skills.
o Ability to work independently in addition to working closely in a team environment.
o Crossbeam experience
- Checkpoint VSX and Provider 1 experience, CCSA preferred
- Cisco ASA experience / Juniper Firewall experience
- Sourcefire IDS/IPS
- Arcsight Exposure
- Bluecoat Experience
- Network analytical technology exposure (Tufin or similar product)
- Network routing, switching, packet analysis
- PCI DSS compliance knowledge
- Proven hands-on experience with firewalls and knowledge of IP networking and network security including Intrusion Detection, DMZ, encryption, IPSec, PKI, VPNs, MPLS/VPN, Site to Site VPN tunnels, SSL/VPN, proxy services, and DNS
